Last year my garden struggled because of powdery mildew and squash bugs. Is there an organic way to deal with these problems?

To be more sustainable I pack my lunch in glassware containers instead of plastic bags!

The main role of a rooster is to protect their flock, they will do this both in the wild or if you have backyard chickens. Roosters will make lots of noise and defend a flock of hens from predators and strangers. They also help keep peace amongst the flock by establishing a social hierarchy.They will often be at the top of the pecking order, which means they will be the first to eat and get access to the best nesting spots. This social order minimizes fighting and keeps the flock calm and cohesive.  We would like to hear your thoughts on chickens! Do you have a rooster? If so, what were your main reasons for getting one? If you have chickens what benefits have you noticed (decrease in the amount of ticks, fertilized soil,  tilled soil, fresh eggs….). If you don't have chickens, would you ever think about getting them? Lastly, we need your help naming our new rooster! Post your name suggestions below!
