Wildlife Wednesday
Wednesdays 12:30 to 3:30
Wildlife Wednesdays is a fun-filled program for preschool, pre-K and kindergarten children one day a week.
Wildlife Wednesdays utilizes the entire Cuvilly’s campus as its classroom. The children will be exploring the trails, the pond and streams, the meadow and hilltop as they look for wildlife!
The children will participate in the following activities:
Hiking our property with binoculars
Evaluating photos from our Trail Cameras
Exploring our pond, streams, trails, hilltop, meadow
Recording their observations in journals
Researching wildlife in our area to understand the diversity of life that surrounds us
Tracking animal prints and researching our local wildlife
Doing this they learn to understand the unique needs of our wildlife and begin to realize their own connection with them. At the core of this experience is Cuvilly’s guiding principal: “All life is sacred and the diversity of life is essential for the well-being of the planet.” As the children learn about wildlife and build their researching and observational skills, they will also be building an understanding of themselves as a part of the greater earth community.

This program is offered as semester long programs during the school year.
